“Art-Khmel”. The Lida Brewery Museum and FARBA Gallery present a collaborative art project

On 4 December, Lida Brewery Museum will open the “Art-Khmel” exhibition — a unique attempt at rethinking the concept of drinking culture and showing that beer is not just a drink but rather an inspiring work of art.

The “Art-Khmel” exhibition is an ambitious collaborative project of the Lida Brewery Museum and FARBA Gallery — a true powerhouse when it comes to organising exhibitions, art salons, and galleries in Belarus. A project that warps together traditions and sophisticated technologies in an exciting dialogue. The organisers of the exhibition are striving to show how the love of classics, such as beer and kvass, can be reimagined through the frame of art.

The display of the “Art-Khmel” exhibition consists of four sections, each of them embodying a theme of its own. Visitors will be able to see what beer styles would look like if they were people, what the covers of international tabloids would be like if all the news were about “Lidskoye Pivo”, and much more.

All four sections of the exhibition were generated by neural networks and refined by a talented Belarusian artist Petra Klimovich. This symbiosis of art and technology offers the viewers a unique outlook on familiar products, turning them into art objects. The “Art-Khmel” exhibition is not just a visual experience but also an opportunity to consider how modern tools can influence the perception of familiar things.

The exhibition will begin on 4 December and be open at the Lida Brewery Museum until the end of winter. The “Art-Khmel” will become a part of the permanent exhibit of the museum. Also, all guests visiting the Lida Brewery Museum from 4 December through 8 March will be able to attend two guided tours at the same time.
