On March 20, “Lidskoe Pivo” presented a new variety of beer – Australian Light Lager. The novelty became an addition to the craft series “Kalektsya Maistra” (Master’s Collection). Presentation of the variety took place as part of the Republican Professional Bartender Contest LIDSKAE BEER MASTER.
Australian Light Lager from “Kalektsya Maistra” is a lager with an ABV of 4.8%, which is manufactured using dry hopping technology. According to this technology, which was invented in Great Britain in 1820, hops are added into the beer at the cold stage, during fermentation process. The use of dry hopping is the best way to add fresh hop aroma and taste to beer. Brewers use this additional step to convey the full bouquet of the hops used.
The Australian character of the novelty is due to 2 types of hops bred directly on the Green Continent. The Ella Hop brings floral tones intertwined with anise-tree notes, which are much appreciated in lagers and pilsners, to Australian Light Lager. The Vic Secret Hop was first presented in the international brewing market only 4 years ago; it has clear distinct fruit and pine characteristics and supplements the novelty with aromatic notes of pineapple, apple and grapefruit.
Dry solids weight ratio in Australian Light Lager from “Kalektsya Maistra” is 11%. Color of the product is 6-8 EBC; bitterness of the novelty –18 – 24 IBU. Recommended drinking temperature is 12°С.
Australian Light Lager appeared on sale on March 21. The product will be presented in the 0.5 l glass bottle format. The beer was produced in a limited batch of only 200,000 liters.
Australian Light Lager became the 1st novelty presented by “Lidskoe Pivo” in 2018 and the 11th taste of “Kalektsya Maistra”.
