In early September, “Lidskoe pivo” held a unique cycling quest that would become not just an exciting event for the employees, but also a milestone in caring for the environment of Lida. The participants enjoyed outdoor activities as part of traditional team building and made a significant contribution to environment cleaning.
More than 150 employees participated in lake cleaning during the event, resulting in more than 2 tons of ooze removed by joint efforts. This initiative helped to improve the quality of water and to facilitate the restoration of the reservoir ecosystem. The participants also arranged a mini clean-up-event on roller blades in a local park to collect the garbage to make the park a more comfortable leisure area for the citizens.
Apart from that, the employees gave a new alley of different kinds of trees and shrubs as a “gift” to the city during the cycling quest. By the way. the alley was created under the supervision of Kirill Kvetka, a well-known and a much-loved blogger. This event had even managed to get the attention of residents and became a vivid example of a great combination of corporate sport event and an initiative that is beneficial to both the environment and the citizens.
We believe that the corporate culture should care for nature and society. Our cycling quest turned into not just an entertainment event, but into an opportunity to make something important for our city. “Lidskoe pivo” indents to continue its environmental initiatives and involve employees in such events so that everyone could contribute to environmental improvement.
